Cancer Registry Accreditation Assistance
|
Whether you are applying for the first time, or reapplying for Commission on Cancer (CoC) accreditation for your cancer registry, Kforce Healthcare can help guide you through the ever-changing process with our step-by-step guidance and support process:
- Advise your administration and medical staff on the benefits of CoC approval during a site visit by one of our 15 National Compliance Managers
- Develop a cancer registry. The registry must have two years of data as well as one year of successful patient follow up
- Form a Cancer Committee, establish a meeting schedule and appoint a member responsible for developing the agenda and recording minutes and other deliberations
- Develop a checklist to help monitor/track compliance and required documentation for all standards
- Appoint a Cancer Liaison physician
- Implement tools and best practices to assist your program with standards compliance
- Suggest alternative staff support solutions (adding FTE’s is not always the answer)
- Perform a Pre-Survey consultative visit
- Assist with navigation of the CoC datalinks Web portal
- Work with the CoC to define the timeline for survey
- Coordinate with the assigned physician surveyor
- Review survey results with administration 8-10 weeks following on-site survey
- Implement policies and procedures for ongoing management of an efficient cancer registry
- Assist with compliance on an on-going basis and prepare for re-survey every three years
