WORK AT KFORCE!

Consultant of the Quarter:  Corrine Simpson, White Plains

With her proven technical abilities and charming demeanor, Corrine Simpson is a client’s dream consultant – and the newest Kforce Consultant of the Quarter.

Over the past four years, Simpson has been placed on three consecutive assignments, including Cadbury Schweppes, GE Capital and MasterCard Worldwide.  She has received rave reviews from every client that has had the opportunity to work with her.

“When your motto is ‘Great people = Great results,’ Corrine Simpson is the person you want on your team.  Not only is Corrine a diligent and talented analyst, but she is one of the most genuine people I have had the pleasure of working with.  Her positive attitude and down-to-earth demeanor make others gravitate towards her,” said Victoria B. Skiba, Kforce Westchester Market Manager.

Currently, Corrine is a Senior Financial Analyst at MasterCard Advisors, where she has quickly grasped the unique accounting processes tailored to meet MasterCard’s very specific accounting guidelines.  Her primary responsibilities revolve around month-end close activities, billing and accounts receivable management, account reconciliation and ad-hoc reporting.

“Many employees and contractors have struggled with some of our unusual accounting anomalies, however, Corrine was quick to grasp these concepts and develop a proficient working knowledge of the overall environment,” said Michael Jordaan, Business Leader, MasterCard Advisors Finance.

Added Ranjan Munjal, Senior Business Leader, MasterCard Advisors Finance:  “From day one, [Corrine] has delivered stellar performances, and the displayed characteristics of teamwork, problem solving, technical proficiency, adherence to deadlines and ownership that all employees should aspire to achieve.”

Corrine has proved to be such a valued asset over the past two years that her managers at MasterCard have already extended her contract a year in advance.  But this was not the first extension she has received.  While working with GE, her former manager was so pleased with her work that she extended her contract several times, and admitted to being “devastated” when Simpson had to leave her team due to GE contract limitations.

Simpson credits her success with clients to her positive attitude and focus on team work.  It also comes from viewing each engagement as a permanent position – something she urges other consultants.

“Try not to view your job as contracted work; success is found in team work and involvement,” said Simpson.  “Aim to learn as much as possible about the different aspects of your client’s business and supporting systems.  When you are constantly looking to learn from your environment and become involved in your job it will not only benefit your client, but you as well.”

For Simpson, her experience with Kforce has been as positive as each consulting engagement she has been matched with.

“My experience with Kforce has been wonderful.  Their staff is professional yet still personable.  You can really talk to them if you ever encounter a problem—which I have not thus far,” she said.  “I plan to continue my work with them for as long as they will have me.”
