Consultant of the Quarter: Angie Saleh, Pittsburgh
Angie Saleh’s first assignment as a consultant with Kforce Finance & Accounting was to assist an organization with its annual SOX compliance efforts. The client quickly saw that Saleh’s knowledge and expertise exceeded their expectations, and reassigned her to serve as their traveling SOX specialist.
That was more than a year ago. Today, Saleh is still with the same company, now serving in a management role within their Accounts Payable group. Her primary task was rebuilding the group, which she accomplished in part by working with Kforce to hire additional A/P staff.
“Kforce has helped me not only as a consultant, but also as a client,” said Saleh. “It gave me a unique perspective on the hiring process to be able to say to Kforce ‘these are the skills I need’ and experience first-hand the consultative approach they take to meeting clients’ needs.”
But working with Kforce as a client is not the reason Saleh was named “Consultant of the Quarter.” She achieved that honor through her stellar accomplishments with the client. Notably, Saleh created a more efficient and effective A/P group by re-establishing policies and procedures and adding structure – improving department morale in the process.
The client has been so pleased with Saleh’s work that, nearly two years and multiple roles later, she is still working on what was originally a two-month assignment.
“She has proven to be flexible and able to adapt to any situation. Our client has raved about Angie’s quality of work, saying she helps wherever needed and considers no task too small,” said Abby Cooper, Account Manager, Kforce Finance & Accounting, Pittsburgh.
Saleh credits her success in part to a positive outlook, as well as maintaining a strong line of communication between herself and clients. “As a consultant, you have to understand what the client expects and then meet or exceed those expectations. Don’t be afraid to ask questions. If you don’t understand what they need, you can’t deliver a quality product,” she said.
Saleh attributes her positive Kforce experience to the tremendous ongoing support she receives, be it a phone call to check in, or collaborating on solutions to business problems.
“The reason I like working with the Pittsburgh staff is that they really listened to my personal needs and understood my skills and strengths. They were able to put me with a client that matched both my and the client’s needs,” she said.
