Training
You can see Kforce Healthcare’s commitment to quality in both our hiring and training processes. We make sure that every candidate we present to employers is one of the best in the field.
Hiring
Recruiting starts with an in-depth phone interview to determine if you meet our high standards and qualifications. If you pass this first step, you’re asked to undergo a comprehensive screening that includes:
-
Competency testing
-
Health clearance
-
Licensure/Certification verification
-
TB testing and clearance
-
Completion of a skills self-assessment checklist
-
Reference requests and verification
-
CPR and advance certification documentation and verification
-
Completion of all OSHA and JCAHO requirements
This screening is followed by a face-to-face interview and orientation process that evaluates your work experience, career goals and professional ethics. We also make sure that you complete Kforce HIPAA training, a background search and drug testing.
Training
Kforce’s Nurse Testing program brushes you up on the latest skills and knowledge necessary to thrive in any placement. Each nationally validated exam has 25-40 highly focused questions covering the most critical aspects of your nursing specialty.
Facility Orientation
Depending upon the hospital, orientations range from fifteen minutes to a full week. Most are a combination of computer, classroom and floor training. All orientations are paid, but some pay at a discounted rate. RNs typically earn a flat rate of $20 per hour and LPN/LVNs typically earn between $10 and $15 per hour. Upon completion of your facility orientation you will earn your full rate.
Monitoring
Our commitment to quality continues even after you are hired and placed. Your employer will be asked to conduct periodic evaluations including a mandatory review upon the completion of your first shift.* Also, regular monitoring during your employment ensures that you are complying with our standards and those of all pertinent regulatory entities.
