Interim Coding Supervisor Job Description

Manages activities of the coding staff, as well as performing of coding and abstracting and financial reporting.  Responsible for continuing education and ensuring compliance with government and coding regulations and standards.  Responsible for hiring, interviewing, training, disciplining, evaluating, promoting and terminating assigned staff.  Acts as resource to Patient Financial Services and hospital departments as appropriate upon request.
