Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Compliance
Each of our professional HIM consultants are familiar with HIPAA regulations governing the use of patients’ confidential information. As part of pre-assignment orientation, each professional is required to review our Compliance Guidelines and successfully complete a test on the material.
Each consultant is also required to review and sign an agreement to protect patient confidentiality, as well as non-disclosure of client information.
Quality Assurance Training
Kforce’s compliance team is comprised of professionals with an average of 15 years experience in HIM. They are responsible for the continuing education that is available to clients and consultants. They also manage our cancer registry and coding resources hotline, which our consultants have found to be extremely beneficial as an additional resource for coding or Certified Tumor Registrar questions. They also provide valuable information through quarterly client newsletters and frequently act as guest speakers at local and national events.
