Description: We are currently seeking a C/A Technical Specialist. This is a telecommuting opportunity (80% work from home and 20% work in DC Metro Region).
Specific Functions:
- Serve as a Junior Certification and Accreditation Analyst for the IRS
- Be responsible for drafting the necessary documentation in support of the C/A process
Documentation Includes:
- Systems Security Plans (SSP)
- Risk Assessments
- Security Operations Procedures or Guides
- Security Test and Evaluation (ST/E), Test Plans (Pre-Operational and Operational), ST/E Test Plan Results Reports, Contingency Plans (CP), and CP Test Plans and Results
- Control Interconnection Security Agreements (ISA) and Rules of Behavior
- Work with system owners / users to solicit the needed information
- Utilize exceptional communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work well with other team members and individually

Requirements: C/A Technical Lead Qualifications:
- Must be a motivated, hard working individual to provide C/A support to the IRS
- Conduct validation testing of IRS systems
- Support the development of C/A documentation
- Track and manage POA/M items
Specific Required Skills:
- Strong writing skills
- Ability to prepare well-written and concise documentation
- Knowledge of FISMA, FIPS, and Federal Information Security Management legislations
- Experience developing Certification and Accreditation documentation including Systems Security Plans (SSP), Risk Assessments, Security Operations Procedures or Guides, Security Test and Evaluation (ST/E) Test Plans (Pre-Operational and Operational), ST/E Test Plan Results Reports, Contingency Plans (CP), CP Test Plans and Results, Interconnection Security Agreements (ISA), and Rules of Behavior
Required Education/ Experience
- BS Degree or equivalent and 0-2 years of related experience in IT System Security
Preferences:
- BS degree in Computer Science and 1-2 years of related experience or an MS Degree and 1+ year of related experience in IT System Security
- CISSP Certification
- Must maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal networks
