| Description: A Sr. BMC Product Expert and Developer is needed for a 6 month RTH or long term contract position with our client in Washington, DC. The candidate must be a U.S. Citizen. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Requirements: The skills, experience, and knowledge required to be considered for this position include:
- 8 - 12+ years of product engineering experience working with enterprise management monitoring applications with a proven track record of delivering high quality enterprise products
- Experience in architecting complex framework and platform solutions using complex algorithm development
- Experience in application development platform for building enterprise application and business critical business processes involving complex processing, statistical analysis, and presenting to make IT decisions
- Excellent ability to architect, design, and develop enterprise management system monitoring software with practical use of design patterns
- Extensive knowledge of algorithm development using Prolog and C in Unix environment
- Experience working with data from the file system or database
- Experience with distributed systems or a large enterprise background
- Strong decision-making skills; take-charge personality, and the ability to drive a plan to completion combined with good written and oral communication
- Good understanding of high-availability and scalable platform architecture
- Good understanding of troubleshooting and performance tuning of multi-layered application
- 2-4 years of experience with at least 1 year in relevant technologies (BMC Performance Manager - previously PATROL)
- Experienced in Performance Manager (Patrol).
- Installation, configuration, and administration of BMC PATROL, PATROL Agents and Real-Time Servers
- Experience troubleshooting BMC Performance Manager
- Proactive management and administering the BMC Performance Manager environment
- Installation, configuration, and maintenance of all BMC Patrol Monitoring products including BMC Patrol Agents, BMC Patrol KM*s, Patrol Configuration Manager, Distribution Server, BMC Patrol Portal, and BMC Event Manager
- Experience in creating and deploying customized Patrol Knowledge Modules (KMs)
