| Description: A major insurance company, located in Sussex County, NJ, is looking for a highly motivated, results oriented leader with experience in Informatica and Cognos to join their Business Intelligence Team. This position requires strong hands-on technical skills along with a successful track record of team management experience. This person will provide technical leadership and day-to-day oversight of a development team and provide guidance in Informatica and Cognos development best practices. This person will serve as a liaison between the business users and development team. This role plans team member work assignments and schedules. This person will gather requirements from the different business groups; prepare estimates for design, coding and testing; prepare technical specifications; and facilitate developer code review sessions. This person will perform impact analysis to existing programs; work with various teams to research and resolve production issues; and help Developers perform testing and debugging of mappings, cubes, and reports. This person will modify existing mappings, cubes, and reports and write new programs as needed as well as resolve issues of moderate to high level of complexity whenever necessary and assist lower-level Developers with the coding of complex programs. This person will participate in SOX and other regulatory compliance efforts and provide off-hours production support as required. This position will coordinate Developer training and brown bag sessions, participate in Informatica and Cognos user groups, and prepare progress and planned outlook reports. This person will perform other duties as assigned by the Application Manager.

Requirements: Lead Informatica Qualifications:
- 2 or 4 year Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, related field, or completion of computer technical school
- 3+ years of experience with the latest suite of Cognos products, Series 7, and Series 8 including Impromptu, CRN, PowerPlay, Framework Manager, Transformer, and TM1
- 3+ years of experience with Informatica
- 5+ years of project management experience
- Proficient in one or more relational databases such as MS SQL Server or Oracle
- Experience with data warehouse / data mart lifecycles and methodologies
- Extensive experience using SQL to develop queries and reports
- Strong understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling
- Experience putting together and delivering technical presentations
- Previous experience as a technical lead with strong coaching skills
- Experience translating business needs into technical solutions
- Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
- Experience diagnosing problems and troubleshooting production issues
- Previous experience performance tuning Informatica and Cognos programs
- Experience with Microsoft's Analysis Services and Reporting Services (a plus)
- Experience with ERwin and other data modeling tools (a plus)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (essential)
- Experience with MS Access (a plus)
- Experience with SharePoint (a plus)
- Property Casualty Insurance experience (a plus)
