| Description: This person reports to Manager of Application Support, providing application support, configuration testing, analysis for developed and/or packaged applications including but not limited to: managed care application (claims adjudication, clinical authorizations, enrollment, provider maintenance), credentialing, internet COTS and in-house developed applications. The Analyst provides advisement to various departments on system design and functionality. Within areas of functional responsibility, this person collaborates with users and programming staff to identify, validates business impact, prioritizes and resolves system issues, suggesting potential application modifications, enhancements or business process changes as appropriate. This person develops functional specifications and operational flows/procedures for approved system enhancements or modifications; implements changes following change control process and performs unit and system testing on modifications. This person may need to create and/or maintain system access.

| Requirements: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field is required. This person will train candidates who can demonstrate strong analytical skills who are willing to learn healthcare from a managed care (Health Plan administration), IT process, testing, and systems configuration. Candidates must have the ability to apply logic to business process, problem solving ability, attention to detail, strong communication skills. Candidates must have experience in computer programming, knowledge of relational databases, MS Office, Healthcare experience, business administration. Experience with ICD9, CPT, HCPCS, and an understanding of managed care operations are required.
