Title:  Business Systems Analyst - Variable Expenses

Description:  The Business Systems Analyst roles will assist in the project life cycle of a major system implementation and subsequent production support. The system will be used as the baseline for broker negotiation, demand management activity, and downstream feeds to financial ledgers as well as traders' position reports. The role will involve meeting with Business sponsors to gather requirements on brokerage, clearing, and exchange fees. Additionally, they will become workstream owners on supporting documentation, UAT, regression, and training. This will involve validating the calculations as well as reconciling them to external amounts such as invoices or exchange feeds. The role involves an exceptional ability to multi-task to meet tight deliverables in a demanding environment. Additionally they must be able to document workflows, identifies areas of improvement, and expand the scope to other regions when needed. The role involves extensive reconciliation and data management with summarized presentations for senior management. Critical Success Factors: (Deliverables for next 12 months)

The selected candidate will develop a working knowledge end-to-end process design of a trade. This person will leverage these concepts to understand how the fees are presented in the firm's ledgers and identify opportunities to improve accounting, fees, and processes. This role will provide the Analyst a view to all of the firm's traded products and the potential to expand this skill set to treatment of these products in other regions. You will also examine root causes (drivers) of variable expenses and report to management.
Requirements:  To qualify for this exciting roles, Business Analyst should have 2-10 years of experience with Financial Products knowledge: specifically within brokerage incurring products such as Cash Equities, Futures, FX, and Fixed Income. This person should also have been involved extensively with Project Management of a System Implementation for Financial Trading and/or Operations. The successful candidate can come from Product Control, Project Management, Operations, Asset Based Costing, or even Public Accounting. Understanding of accounting principles is a plus. Specific experience in Operations, Clearance, and/or Settlement functions is a plus. Prior experience dealing with large data sets is required. Prior experience with Brokerage and Clearance is required. This person should have strong MS Excel skills and experience with Access, Visio, Oracle, or similar system. A four year Degree is required in any discipline.
