Description:  The selected Senior Project Manager will be responsible for the following:
  • Coordination and control of the portfolio of projects in progress in the global operations of the Engineering Group
  • Preparation and transmission of Management Information for use by our client's Board in respect of the project activity within the group
  • Provide coordination of project control to the Global Engineering Strategy and Projects Director to monitor progress and spend on development and project budgets
  • Preparation of top level Project Plans that coordinate global projects, staff, external resources, and associated finance
  • Preparation of reports to provide Management Information on a routine and regular basis for use by our client's Board to monitor the technical and financial status of funded activity
  • Management of individual projects as appropriate in consultation with project Directors
  • Be the liaison between various sites of activity throughout the organization including, but not limited the UK, USA, India, and China (other territories which are currently under development; for instance Australia will be added as appropriate)
  • Control, manage, and allocate the group's engineering resources across multiple projects to ensure target delivery dates are met
  • Consolidate, coordinate, and monitor multi-project information
  • Generate monthly reports as required to the Line Manager
Requirements:  The right candidate will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and controlling a global portfolio of projects. This person should have a strong understanding of:
  • General Engineering concepts (which includes Mechanical and Electrical Engineering concepts)
Projects Include:
  • Generator Sets, Ultrasonics, Vehicle Design, etc.
  • Microsoft Project
  • Working directly with Engineers to develop project plans
  • Resource tracking and allocation
  • Team Player mentality
  • Prior experience in a production environment
