Title:  Senior C#/.NET/C++ Programmer

Compensation:  $80,000.00 to $90,000.00 per Year

Description:  A rapidly growing, publicly held, healthcare IT company based in Long Island, NY, is seeking a Senior C#/.NET/C++ Programmer. The Senior Programmer will independently analyze user specifications and requirements; encode, test, debug, and document programs on large-scale, complex projects; and revise and update programs and documentation as required as well as exercise independent judgment to solve challenges inherent in application development and act as a resource for other Programmer/Analysts when questions arise concerning company products. This person will review and understand customer requirements and specifications; design and develop applications and software solutions that conform to technical specification and/or customer requirements; and test, debug, and add enhancements to existing applications. This person will create technical documentation on new design and enhancements; work with Source Control systems and Defect Tracking systems; and analyze and help resolve software related issues from customer support team and recommend solutions.
Requirements:  Senior Programmer Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other engineering disciplines
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience
  • Excellent knowledge of C#, .NET, C++, MFC, and SQL
  • Strong programming skills and good understanding of the software development cycle
  • Solid understanding of Object-Oriented programming and Object-Oriented Analysis and Design
  • Good understanding of relational database design and writing optimized SQL queries, triggers, and stored procedures
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational, time management, and follow-up skills
  • Ability to identify, prioritize, and execute tasks to meet project deadlines
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
Preferences:
  • Experience in an ambulatory clinical environment
