Requirements: EDI Java Development Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 7-10 years of experience in processing ASC X12 Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transactions in batch and real-time environments
- Development experience with Open Systems (Java or .NET) environments (essential)
- Experience with migration of healthcare applications is desired, but our client will consider any migration experience
- Experience with any EDI translation software (Gentran, TLE, Sun JCAPS, etc.) in the healthcare industry is desired (will consider commercial EDI experience as a substitute)
- Experience with customization of EDI translation software in the area of application and database interface development
- Ideally, the candidate would have hands-on experience in design, development, implementation, and production activities associated with applications involving X12 data standards
- Knowledge and understanding of HIPAA is a plus
- Knowledge and experience with CMMI methodology is a plus
