| Description: This is an outstanding opportunity with NYC based Fortune Retailer for Manager of Technical Accounting. This person will assist in the preparation and review of all SEC filings, including Form 10-Q and Form 10-K, ensuring that financial statements and disclosures are in accordance with US GAAP and in compliance with SEC accounting rules and regulations. This role will research and provide clear explanations and guidance for technical accounting issues; write, maintain and update accounting policies, as well as technical position "white" papers, which document and support research and policy conclusions; monitor recent and proposed accounting and reporting literature and pronouncements, evaluate impact to the Company, formulate accounting positions and execute adoption of new accounting standards; and effectively present technical accounting guidance to senior management, internal and external auditors, and peers. This person will also prepare audit committee materials and participate in disclosure committee meetings and be involved in ad-hoc duties and projects as needed.

Requirements: To qualify for this high visibility, growth opportunity, you should have:
- Bachelor's degree
- 6+ years of public or combination public/private technical accounting and SEC experience
- CPA is required
- Big 4 experience is a plus
- Strong technical writing and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
- Proficient with MS Excel and Word
- Working knowledge of Oracle is a plus
