Title:  Master Black Belt - Six Sigma

Description:  We are seeking a Six Sigma Master Black Belt (MBB) with more than 10 years of experience in the entire Six Sigma methodology in numerous environments. The Six Sigma Master Black Belt will support multiple Marine Corps Total Life Cycle Management (TLCM) projects in support of the Business Enterprise Office. Specific support will be in the data governance area. The candidate can expect to lead military Continuous Process Improvement projects and be a mentor to multiple consulting teams. As longer term requirements, the MBB may additionally act as a mentor to Black Belts, set project priority, sign off on new projects, establish training programs for existing Black Belts, be accountable for continual improvement of Six Sigma team operations, and train new Black Belts. The MBB will work with engineering architects on projects which: analyze current and legacy databases using data profiling software to identify and prioritize data quality problems in relation to data quality requirements; analyze the quality of data structures, organization, and coding schemes and remediate problems; manage and direct teams that test relationships between tables and tests of unique business rules.
Requirements:  The Six Sigma Master Black Belt will possess a Master's degree in Business, Operations Management as well as a minimum of 5 years of business and information systems experience. The Six Sigma Master Black Belt will also possess a ASQ Six Sigma Black Belt Certification from a recognized training organization as well as 10 years of experience implementing Six Sigma or other quality solutions. The candidate should also have experience supporting TLCM efforts with working knowledge of military data systems or data profiling and data cleansing efforts for large, complex data systems. Experience with data tools is a definite plus. The MBB will also be an expert in traditional quality methods as taught by experts such as Deming and Juran and specialize in transactional Six Sigma, the application of Six Sigma to non-manufacturing processes. This individual must have strong facilitation and communication skills supporting senior clients.
