Requirements: To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
- 7-10 years of experience in performing accounting, auditing, audit liaison, and financial management tasks for government organizations, preferably with the Department of Defense
- BA/BS degree in Accounting
- Advanced degree in Accounting or Auditing, an MBA, or a CPA is desirable
- General knowledge of federal Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Ability to research FASAB and GAAP issues
- Provide recommendations and working knowledge of USSGL
- Ability to document and assess accounting processes and cycles; write and implement new policies
- Develop financial standard operating procedures
- Experience with meeting the requirements of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circular A-123; assessing internal controls over financial reporting
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Knowledge and experience working with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, and Visio)
