Title:  DOD Budget Analyst
Location:  Fairfax, VA
Job Type:  Direct Hire
Compensation:  $90,000.00 to $105,000.00 per Year

Description:  Responsibilities for this role include performing the following duties:
  • Provide budgetary and analytical support
  • Reviews and analyze overhead budgetary data
  • Develop plans and procedures for the execution of the operating budget
  • Review and analyze program and budget and policy guidance to determine impact
  • Develop plans, procedures, and instructions for the formulation and execution of the operating budgets
  • Monitor the execution (obligation and expenditure of funds) of the approved operating budgets to assure that funds are properly allocated and utilized in a timely and effective manner in support of authorized management objectives
  • Prepare and track the company manpower and staffing program
  • Advise the Budget Officer on manpower estimates, plans, and execution
  • Prepare a variety of special studies, reports, and schedules on such items as financial management, costs, obligations, expenditures, trends, historical data, and related matters
  • Formulate and justify an assigned budget
  • Execute the assigned budget
  • Conduct studies, analyze data, and develop alternatives
  • Make recommendations to resolve budget problems
Requirements:  Qualified candidates must demonstrate in their resume at least one year of experience applying a comprehensive knowledge of a wide range of regulations, methods, and concepts of budgeting for multiple appropriations and revolving fund accounts. To be considered for this position, candidates must have experience in a similar role or they must possess significant knowledge, experience, and abilities to successfully perform the responsibilities listed. Relevant education and/or training will be considered a plus.
