Description: This person will research, review, and analyze documentation related to the Chief Financial Officer's (CFO) Act, Government Performance and Results Act (GPRA), Government Management Reform Act (GMRA), and the Federal Financial Management Improvement Act (FFMIA).
Duties:
- Research data calls from the Assistant Secretary (Financial Management and Controller) and develop responses to those calls
- Consolidated and format data for final reporting
- Assist in explaining account relationships, including financial reporting crosswalks within U.S. Standard General Ledger (USSGL), in order to produce compliant reports
- Resolve discrepancies in the USSGL balances in order to produce certified Financial Management Service (FMS) 2108 Report

Requirements: Candidates must possess 7 to 10 years of experience in Government Accounting (Navy is a plus) and/or should have experience writing U.S. Government Accounting policy and procedures (preferably). Experience in one or more of the following areas a must: accounting, finance, accounting policy and/or accounting systems.
Prior experience should include:
- Performing requisite accounting reviews (including Tri-annual Reviews) and ensuring compliance with current and new regulations
- Maintaining the Unmatched Disbursements (UMDS), Negative Un-liquidated Obligations (NULOS), and ensuring client compliance with all relevant ASN (FM/C) and Department of Defense (DoD) regulations with DFAS
- Researching Problem Disbursements; gathering source documentation, initiating corrective action, and analyzing trends toward minimizing their occurrence
- Analyzing invoices attributable to closed account liabilities; facilitating the obligation of replacement funds and monitoring status
- Facilitating invoice processing, ensuring correct payment, and maintaining accurate and complete accounting records for administered contracts
- Ensuring that USSGL account balances agree with the associated accounting system
