Description: Our client is seeking a Federal Financial Analyst.
For Un-liquidated Obligation (ULOs) Validation, the selected candidate will:
- Identify contract and in-house accounting records that are in an out-of-balance condition
- Reconcile the accounts
- Prepare correction packages to resolve the out-of-balance condition and validate remaining Un-liquidated Obligations
- Maintain the objective of the review process: ensure that obligations and expenditures are posted correctly in the accounting system and validate the reconciled ULO with the contracting activity, administrative contracting office, program manager, etc.
- Maintain Financial documentation to support audit trail of transactions to the accounting system

Requirements: The skills, experience, and knowledge required to be considered for this position include:
- Four-year course of study above high school or equivalent education leading to a B.S. degree (two years of general experience may be substituted for each missing year of college)
- Three years of experience are required
- Experience with automated systems to include database maintenance and reporting
- Ability to extract and report reliable data
- Sound oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and complete tasks on schedule
- One year of specialized experience
- Knowledge and application experience of basic accounting principles
- Ability to analyze financial documents and identify problems
