Description: Our client is seeking a Pega PRPC Systems Administrator/Engineer. The position must continually evaluate infrastructure effectiveness, develop technical direction and execute large implementation and upgrade initiatives.
The candidate's responsibilities include the following:
- Work as part of a project team to design, develop and build new system solutions
- Implement proof-of-concepts for new system designs and participate in and document system design reviews
- Work closely with key stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure the solutions developed meet these requirements
- Responsible for compliance auditing and remediation for infrastructure environments
- Contribute to the design, development and execution of system changes through the end-to-end testing lifecycle
- Provide 7x24x365 support
- Implement proof-of-concepts for new system designs and participate in and document system design reviews
- Work closely with key stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure the solutions developed meet these requirements.
- Work as part of a project team to design, develop and build new system solutions
- Contribute to the design, development and execution of system changes through the testing and implementation lifecycle

Requirements: The skills, experience, and education required for this position include the following:
- Must have the ability to understand and relate product technology, strategy and direction with business needs
- Must be able to work well in a team environment, providing leadership in areas of expertise
- Must be able to manage multiple systems environments (development, testing, and production)
- Candidates will be interviewed for potential in all area of responsibility described and must have a minimum of two years experience with Pega PRPC.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills:
- Pegasystems PRPC 5.x administration expertise is required
- Knowledge in one or more RDMS technologies such as DB2 /UDB/Sybase, not required but is a plus
- Knowledge of Enterprise Content Management technologies such as EMC Documentum and IBM Content Manager is not required but is a plus
- 3+ years of experience in information technology and a four year BS degree in Computer Science or related field is required
- Ability to work within strict timelines
- Technical documentation skills are a plus
- Scripting and development skills are a plus
- Candidates should have excellent written and oral communication skills, be a self-starter and excel when working in a team environment
