Description: The Product Specialist is the expert for a technical development effort with primary responsibility to ensure programming development to support AVR for Hippocrates using ESRI ArcIMS, ArcSDE ArcGIS Server, Java technology products.

Role Description:
- Attend product design reviews to verify that design meets quality standards and functional/technical requirements
- Provide accurate estimates for design and programming efforts for system changes and enhancements
- Document programming code
- Coordinate enhancements to business and logical data models with data base administration to make the appropriate changes to the physical data model
- Confirm that technical architecture will support all changes required by product enhancements
- Unit test your code to uncover and resolve any programming bugs

Requirements: Candidates must possess strong skills in object-oriented analysis, design, and implementation (using UML), with active involvement in all phases of project life cycle. This person quickly understands functional and technical aspects of software development projects and offer excellent communication skills. Candidates must have ESRI software experience using ArcIMS, ArcSDE, ArcGIS Server; and must be a team player. Excellent written and verbal communications skills are essential. This person must provide writing samples such as Email paragraphs to something more formal. 3+ years of relevant experience is required. A BS is required.
The skills, experience, and education required for this position include the following:
- Experience in large scale web applications using a combination of ArcIMS, ArcSDE, ArcGIS Server
- Familiar with performance and tuning of ArcIMS, ArcSDE, ArcGIS Server is a plus
- Demonstrate experience with deployment of GIS technology in a three tier architecture
- Experience with advanced GIS server programming such as geostatistical analysis, time series, analysis, trends, and thematic maps
- Programming experience with JavaScript and front end web scripting tools
- Experience with Photoshop is highly desired
Required Skills:
- 1 year of ArcGIS Server 9.31
- 2 years of ArcSDE
- 3 years of ArcGIS desktop tools
- 2 years of JavaScript
- 2 years of ArcIMS/SDE
- 2 years of prior work experience with large scale, enterprise applications
- 3 years of UML Modeling is highly desired
- 3 years of Oracle 10g+ is highly desired
- 1 year of Photoshop experience is highly desired
- 1 year of ArcGIS Server Network Analyst is nice to have
- 3 years of Web enabled State Health Emergency Apps is nice to have
