Description: Our client, a world class financial services company, is seeking a Executive Director-Bank Operations Risk Manager for their commercial banking division. The successful candidate will work closely with the Bank Operations groups as well as other stakeholders that support U.S. bank entities. The role requires the candidate to have previous credit, consumer or commercial banking experience, along with project management fundamentals, process analysis and design best practices. The successful candidate must also be able to analyze the commercial impact of business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with Internal Audit and monitor / close open Audit points
- Ensure proper system entitlements and appropriate segregation of duties for operations staff
- Manage bank SLAs and vendors as applicable
- Develop and monitor bank KRIs
- Coordinate bank related NPAS
- Ensure appropriate bank BCP
- Liaise with regulators and coordinate regulatory exam requirements for bank operations
- Take a lead role in Operating Risk and Control framework including SOX, FDICIA, and RCSA

Requirements: The skills, experience, and knowledge required to be considered for this position include:
- 10+ years of risk management experience in retail/commercial banking with an emphasis on deposit products and commercial assets including Fixed Income Securities and Derivatives
- Thorough understanding of bank regulations with prior interaction in dealing with OCC/OTS/FRB/FDIC (OCC required)
- Understanding and knowledge of bank IT systems and vendors
- Ability to develop a set of efficient policies and well-controlled processes
- Proven ability to collaborate across groups and divisions
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and define approaches to bring unfocused issues to resolution
Operational Risk management or audit skills desired
- Need to know what Reg E and Reg W are
