Description: Our NYC client, a subsidiary of a prominent Not-For-Profit organization, is seeking a Senior Accountant for their Manhattan office. This newly created role will report directly to the Director of Finance.
Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Reconciliation of General Ledger accounts
- Execution of the month-end close process
- Working inter-departmentally to ensure timely and accurate reporting of revenue and expenses, prepaids, and accruals
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly, annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Manage the A/P process and the domestic and international payroll
- Furthermore; you will assist the Director of Finance on all budgeting, forecasting, and scheduling for external auditors

| Requirements: You must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting with a minimum 4-7 years of experience within an accounting department (NFP preferred). Audit and 990 tax experience is preferred. Public accounting experience is preferred. You must be proficient in MS Excel and accounting software packages commonly used within medium and large organizations. You must have outstanding communication and written skills (you will be tested).
