Description: Kforce is seeking, on behalf of its client, a Program Analyst to work directly with staff in support of a grant program. The program supports state education agencies in the design and development of statewide longitudinal data systems intended to enhance the ability of states to efficiently and accurately manage, analyze, and use education data, including individual student records to facilitate research and help states, districts, schools, and teachers improve student learning and close achievement gaps.
The Program Analyst will serve as a mid-level staff person responsible for working directly with state education agencies that have been awarded SLDS grants.
Tasks include:
- Conducting conference calls with grantees to monitor project progress, identifying potential problems, and providing technical assistance
- Identifying exemplary practices, documents, or technical resources for dissemination to other states and districts
- Analyzing and converting applications and timelines into a task-tracking information management system
- Working with other contractors and staff to update and enhance the SLDS program website
- Reviewing reports and other deliverables submitted by the grantees and communicating findings to staff
- Assisting in planning meetings, drafting correspondence, and preparing agendas
Other duties may be assigned as necessary. Travel may be required once or twice per year.

| Requirements: This position requires the services of an individual who is extremely detail-oriented and possesses strong organizational, oral, and written communication skills. Excellent customer service skills and an ability to exercise independent judgment are essential. Experience with MS Access and MS Project are preferred, but can be acquired. A demonstrated understanding of information systems, data analysis, and data use by researchers and/or practitioners is a plus. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Education, Public Policy, Public Administration, or Sociology.
