Title:  Assistant Director
Location:  McLean, VA

Compensation:  $110,000.00 to $120,000.00 per Year

Description:  Our client is seeking an Assistant Director. This person will manage a Division's control and operations functions; develop strategic and operations plans; and prepare and monitor budget. This person will implement and monitor division policies and procedures; manage technology; and coordinate audit and examination procedures. This person will ensure M&CS MARC oversight and reporting; manage compensation and resources; oversee the EPM system, including bonus and merit review cycles; and manage the division's employee recognition programs. This person will also make recommendations regarding the hiring and retention of staff and assign, motivate, evaluate, train and counsel assigned staff.   • Managing Large and Complex Projects, requiring Large Project Management Experience and strong project management and leadership skills
  • Creating and clearly articulating resource needs, requirements, successfully lobbying for resources; maintaining a strong and assertive presence re balancing needs, risks, costs and opportunities
  • The ability to facilitate solutions involving the workings and interactions of data, accounting processes and journal entries, and systems
  • Successfully managing many activities at once
  • Manage the strategic initiatives impacting multifamily Finance
Requirements:  This job requires a Bachelor degree in Business Administration or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills may be acquired; and ten years of experience building upon the management and control function skills. In addition, the successful candidate will have:
  • Significant Accounting Systems Implementations individual contribution and management experience
  • Financial Accounting and/or Accounting Operations Experience
  • Experience working with people at all levels and from a broad spectrum of disciplines and an excellent presence among people at senior (executive) levels
