Description: Specific functions of the QA Lead include:
- Work with project management team, technical team, and business unit in the requirements gathering process to determine high level designs
- Manage the testing resource
- Ensure that products are appropriately quality assurance tested
- Manage both the Functional and Performance Test teams
- Utilize strong ability to communicate and interact with different teams (making right judgment of team roles and responsibilities)
- Work independently and be fully responsible for work results
- Based on the analysis of design document and requirements, create a test strategy
- Create and execute test cases, log and assign defects, and keep track of the defect status
- Report the results to the management and team lead in timely matter
- Assist in testing efforts, perform unit testing and fixes during testing process
- Assist the support team in deployment
- Other related development tasks in the SDLC
- Perform end-to-end test process for complex enterprise solutions
- Work closely with project managers and project team to provide testing timelines
- Participate in the early phases of projects to ensure that inputs into testing process can be translated into a test plan and test cases
- Design test plans for projects and work with project teams to obtain approval
- Work closely with project teams to understand solution requirements and generate test scripts and perform test analysis
- Execute all Functional and performance tests according to test plans and scripts, document results, and quickly identify and troubleshoot issues
- Ascertain performance and scalability requirements for each release
- Conduct performance tuning in different categories: network, system, platform, and application
- Help to develop testing artifacts (scripts, monitors, scenarios, etc.)

Requirements: The minimum requirements to qualify for this position are as follows:
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in testing of large-scale enterprise applications
- Familiarity with XML files/editors
- Knowledge of basic Unix commands
- Ability to create SQL queries and work with TOAD
- Knowledge of Siebel
- Fundamentals of MQ
- Experience with SOA
- Ability to gather statistics, create performance matrix, plan and analyze system performance
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate to all project members and stakeholders
- Ability to provide guidance to team members
- Ability to manage schedule and workload
- Ability to take strategic direction from executive management and participate in strategic planning activities throughout the lifetime of the project
- Ability to see tasks through to completion without significant guidance
- Ability to provide documentation on their work
