Description: An NYC based fashion company provides luxury brands at highly discounted prices. The company currently works with a roster of nearly 400 up-and-coming and established brands in the women's, men's, children's, beauty, and home fashion categories. The Senior Accountant reports to the Controller and is responsible for managing all accounting functions (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and the General Ledger) as well as new business initiatives. The role requires a very hands-on approach, as the Senior Accountant will be managing these units with limited support. The successful candidate will also partner with the Controller on the production of any ad hoc management reporting and financial analysis projects.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Month-end close responsibilities including, but not limited to managing and adhering to a strict month-end close calendar with the objective of distributing financial statements internally and externally within 6 days
- Foreign entity reporting and consolidation (including analysis of monthly information produced by foreign subs and booking the respective entries)
- Prepare all monthly journal entries
- Be the liaison between the Manager of Accounting of foreign entity corporate accounting
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations
- Provide account analysis for balance sheet and income statement
- Produce monthly management reports for the Finance Team
- Handle vendor maintenance and management
- Manage fixed assets in conjunction with Department Heads
- Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules

Requirements: Senior Accountant Qualifications:
- B.S. degree in Accounting
- 3-5 years of accounting experience
- Demonstrated expertise in MS Excel including pivot tables
- Strong sense of customer service and integration with other Departments
- Must be a CPA
- Must have has previous public accounting experience with a Big 4 Firm
- Systems integration experience
- Start-up to mid-size company experience
- Epicor software experience is preferred
- International accounting experience is also preferred
