| Description: Our client is seeking a highly skilled Oracle Database Developer with expertise in designing and developing high performance database back-ends to support a Java-based web services product. Candidates who are both qualified and interested are encouraged to apply today.

Requirements: The ideal candidate must be hands-on and current with their technical experience. Financial and capital markets experience is required.
Requirements also include:
- 6 - 8 years of hands-on relational database design and development using Oracle RDBMS and supporting tools in the capacity of a development DBA
- Strong proficiency in PL/SQL and stored procedure development including formal database unit and integration testing is a must
- Demonstrated experience in high performance database designs and performance tuning from an application perspective
- Strong proficiency with at least one scripting language, e.g., Korn Shell, used in the development of batch automation of data processes
- Former experience with Java/J2EE design, implementation and debugging would be given strong consideration
- Strong proficiency in open source development on a Windows and Linux platform using tools such as Eclipse, Spring, Hibernate, CVS or Subversion, Ant, Maven, JUnit, JBoss, etc.
- Strong interaction skills and excellent communications (verbal and written)
- Self-motivated team player with the ability to work independently with the ability to perform well under stress to deliver on committed timelines
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Engineering is required, or in lieu, a demonstrated equivalence in work experience; MS degree in Computer Science is highly desirable
