Description: A financial services company, located in Hoboken, NJ, is seeking a PeopleSoft Architect. As a PeopleSoft Architect in the Corporate Application Engineering Department, you will be responsible for managing the analysis, design, implementation, operational administration, support, and management of all technical components / processes related to PeopleSoft HR and Enterprise Portal through hands-on involvement as well as part of a team. These technical components / processes include, but will not be limited to application servers, Web Servers, file servers, security, change management, patching, troubleshooting, and integration with other systems.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
- Effectively utilize resources to provide best in class support and administration for business critical PeopleSoft HR and Enterprise Portal applications
- Become the resident technical expert for PeopleSoft technology within Corporate Application Engineering and to use such expertise to set technical direction, contribute to the success of business driven projects, and ensure that applications are managed effectively, while minimizing down-time and issues
- Be responsible for hands-on design, implementation, administration, and support of all aspects of PeopleSoft HR and Enterprise Portal
- Manage technology projects from inception to implementation including the development and management of project plans
- Manage and provide leadership to the PeopleSoft Administration Team
- Ensure that the PeopleSoft technology implementation continues to meet strategic business goals
- Participate in and represent Corporate Application Engineering in broader technology related initiatives

Requirements: The skills, experience, and education required for this position include the following:
- Must have 10-15+ years of IT experience in application support, administration, and/or development
- Must have at least 5 years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting PeopleSoft application products
- Project management experience is required
- Must be able to train and mentor junior colleagues and consultants
- Experience managing colleagues including participation in a formal review process is required
- Must have experience with PeopleSoft HR and PeopleSoft Enterprise Portal
- Must have experience and have played a significant role in large scale PeopleSoft upgrades
- Must have experience with UNIX/Linux including scripting
- Must have experience with an Oracle Database including strong SQL skills
- Must have experience as a liaison with the server, networking, data center, and storage teams
- Must have experience with technical process design, implementation, and documentation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required
- Strong interpersonal skills are required
- Bachelors Degree (or equivalent) is required
