Description: Our client is looking for a dynamic and motivated Software Development QA Engineer to join their Mobile Web Products Team. The Software Development Engineer's primary task is to perform white-box testing of the company's mobile products. This individual will build test software to expose API defects in production level code as well as defects at the component and feature levels.
Responsibilities:
- Work with business and technical teams to define testing requirements and specifications
- Design and build testing tools for automated unit, functional, and performance testing
- Define and execute test plans
- Triage and deep-dive on issues
- Communicate effectively to ensure that all business requirements are being assessed and addressed to ensure development projects meet or exceed performance targets
- Participate in all activities accordingly to ensure on-time deliverables are met including day-to-day planning and coordination with Testers, Developers, Project Managers, and business representatives

Requirements: We are seeking a sharp, experienced Software Development QA Engineer with a creative edge, strong problem-solving skills, a solid software development foundation, and the desire to be an individual contributor to our client's next generation mobile eCommerce technology. This is an extremely challenging role that demands strong technical leadership to include analytical and problem-solving skills.
Specific Requirements (items are required unless noted otherwise):
- Outstanding track record in Quality Assurance
- At least 5 years of experience (which may be composed of at least 2+ years as Developer and 3 years as a QA Engineer)
- Experience with embedded systems and mobile and wireless devices and applications
- Strong Java Object-Oriented design and development skills with working knowledge of core libraries and design patterns
- C++ and C knowledge (a big plus)
- HTTP protocol knowledge
- RPC knowledge (a plus)
- Extensive knowledge of networking and systems
- Knowledge of content delivery
- Knowledge of bit rates, audio formats, or compression (a plus)
- Experience with JUnit, TestNG, and mock objects
- Experience with Make files and Ant build scripts
- API automation testing including working experience with unit test automation frameworks
- Familiar with the Eclipse IDE and Subversion
- Customer-focused, ability to triage issues, react well to changes, work with teams, and ability to multi-task on multiple products and projects
- Excellent communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical, and problem solving skills
- Internet and operating system security fundamentals
- Understanding of system and application performance limits and characteristics
- Sharp analytical abilities and proven design skills
- Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive
- Demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in a highly innovative and fast paced environment
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent years of experience
