Description: Our client, an exciting consumer products company, seeks a Senior Auditor for its NYC location. As a member of the regional audit team, the successful incumbent will provide assurance on management controls and guidance on the risk environment for the USA, Caribbean, Latin America and Canada.
Key responsibilities will be to:
- Plan, manage and control risk-based financial audits as requested by the Director Internal Audit Americas
- Design, develop and perform tests on business and management controls identifying any risks to the business
- Review data about material assets, net worth, liabilities, capital stock, surplus, income and expenditures. Inspect account books and accounting systems for efficiency, effectiveness and use of accepted accounting procedures to record transactions
- Collect and analyze data to detect deficient controls, duplicated effort, extravagance, fraud, or non-compliance with laws, regulations, and management policies
- Gain key information from local Senior Management and hold closing discussions regarding audit findings and appropriate controls
- Make appropriate and educated recommendations for process improvement or to mitigate business risk gaining management buy in to said recommendations and assisting where necessary in reviewing managements' action plans to mitigate the weaknesses
- Prepare audit reports for Group Executive and Senior Management

Requirements: Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor: Business Administration / Accounting / Finance or similar discipline. CA and/or CIA qualified
- Experience: minimum of 4 years in Finance or Audit
- Know-how: general accounting and Finance and understanding of end to end business processes
- SAP and/or Exact system knowledge of benefit. Ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the business is essential
- Languages: Fluent English is essential. Spanish is preferred. Dutch, Portuguese or French is desirable
- Travel requirements: 25-40%, out country covering entire Americas Region
