Description: A major client, located in New York City, is seeking a talented Audio-Visual Design Engineer who is driven by excellence and shares the company's customer service orientation. This AV Engineer will report to the Director of Enterprise Solutions with broad visibility and excellent opportunities for exposure to new and emerging technologies and growth within the technology industry.
Responsibilities include:
- Apply senior level knowledge and experience to understand business challenges and opportunities and drive new and innovative approaches to resolving them; bridge the gap between business and technology to develop the right solutions for our clients
- Architect, design, build, deploy, and secure enterprise AV solutions for customers ranging in size from 1000 people in one local office through 100,000 people throughout the world
- Deliver product, technology, and/or solution presentations to technical and business decision makers and engage in interactive, consultative problem-solving
- Lead project teams comprised of customers, partners, and peers from project inception through the hand off to operations as a subject matter expert, Senior Consultant, and/or Solution Architect
- Develop accurate, detailed proposals and solutions in a pre-sales Architect capacity
- Organize and lead requirements gathering and solution design collaborative sessions with customers, partners and other technical resources of all levels
- Train, mentor, and support the internal Sales, Project Management, and Solutions Delivery organizations
- Design, recommend, implement, deploy, and maintain complex A/V solutions for our customers in the tri-state area
- Become the trusted A/V adviser to clients
- Apply expertise in A/V to arrive at solutions that integrate into existing systems
- Directly support Sales teams with customer meetings

Requirements: The successful candidate will have a proven track record and strong expert knowledge of commercial Audio-Visual Systems, their design, implementation, and support.
Requirements also include:
- Minimum of 7+ years of related experience including strong working knowledge of legacy and emerging A/V technologies, and expertise in IP-based A/V technologies
- Proven expertise in high-end A/V design in varied and complex venues (speaker, microphones, and room controls)
- Proven expertise in the design, configuration, installation, and integration of multi-vendor A/V systems
- Experience with Crestron, Extron, Polycom, and/or Tandberg products and systems
- Ability to direct, instruct, mentor, and provide QA for all physical installation requirements
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Major Plusses:
- Knowledge of Cisco TelePresence or Tandberg products, technologies, and integration
- Experience with Cisco Systems Digital Media and Physical Security
- Experience integrating A/V with Cisco MeetingPlace, Webex, or other conferencing/collaboration platforms
