Description: Kforce is seeking a hands-on Lead Network Systems Engineer and Administrator to assist in expanding our client company's infrastructure. You will be responsible for leading a team of 4-6 in the architecture, implementation, and administration of a large Windows 2003/2008 Active Directory, Exchange, IIS, SQL Server, and LAN/WAN environment.
Activities and Tasks include:
- Lead the upgrade of Windows 2003/2008 based hardware, operating systems, email messaging, Web Servers, and database platforms
- Plan and implement the upgrade of MS-Exchange 2003 to 2007
- Provide email messaging infrastructure support and administration for ever-expanding business
- Plan and lead the design and development of new Windows-based Web Servers
- Build out our client's infrastructure to include a broader level of applications and services; requiring attention to detail, the capacity to plan, ability to execute, and a commitment to excellence
- Lead configuration and tuning of network infrastructure including firewalls, routers, switches, and load balancers
- Mentor administrators on the use of software development for tools to build as well as monitor and automate Web hosting and the LAN/WAN environment
- Serve as the Lead Support of Windows Servers and services

Consideration for this opportunity will go to candidates with the following:
- 3-5+ years of experience in a lead capacity
- 5-10 years of network experience with Windows NT/2000/2003/2008, Active Directory, VMware, Exchange 2000/2007, IIS, Apache, Tomcat, WebLogic, WebSphere, SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, LAN/WAN Protocols, Cisco Routers/Switches, and PIX/ASA Firewalls
- Strong background in MS-Exchange engineering, upgrade, maintenance, and support
- 5+ years of experience in design and administration of networks
- 5+ years of experience in implementing and supporting Web infrastructures
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Understanding of 3-tier, redundant Internet architecture
- Working knowledge of RAID technologies concepts
- Knowledge of SAN solutions (a plus)
- Any experience with Linux, UNIX, or scripting languages such as C, Bash, Korn, Perl, PHP, JavaScript, and VBScript is a plus
- Experience with Firewalls, Cisco Routers/Switches, and Load balancers is desired
- Virtualization and Automation Data Center technologies and experience promoting and following Best Practices are desired
