| Description: Support activities for newly developed applications, fixes, and enhancements. Apply software development techniques, theories, and concepts. Contribute to the development of new applications and utilities. Support the FDIC ITAS O/M operations and small enhancements.
Build and code applications and/or modules using languages such as C++, Visual Basic, ABAP, Java, XTML, etc. and provides patches and upgrades to existing systems. You may design graphical user interface (GUI) to meet the specific needs of users. Prepare operating instructions, compile documentation of program development, and analyze system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. You may build add-on modules using application program language.

Requirements: Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, the equivalent experience / combined education with 9 years of professional experience, or 7 years of professional experience with a related Master's Degree. You must be considered an emerging authority.
Required Skills:
- 5-7 years of development experience using languages such as C++, Visual Basic (VB), ABAP, Java, XTML, .NET, etc.
- Experienced in writing and maintaining technical documentation and an understanding of the SDLC methodologies and practices, software development of financial applications
Desired Skills:
- 5-7 years experience with the following software applications and process methodologies ASP, SQL, Oracle, StarTeam, RUP, CMMI, and ITIL
- Prior experience with FDIC applications and operations
