| Description: Our client's current troubleshooting content model is linear. There is no branching or conditional logic. The system is wholly contained in the knowledge-base and there is no interaction with any other system. Users are expected to follow the linear steps until the problem is resolved. If the issue is not resolved the user escalates the issues as dictated by the troubleshooting content. The users are required to interact with all of the additional systems; evaluate data and make decisions based on the presented linear instructions.
Our client is currently negotiating with an external vendor to deploy a workflow solution. Once deployed, your team will be responsible for creating, deploying, and maintaining all workflow and business rules. The new approach to troubleshooting content will be built on a series of logic based processes and automated interaction with disparate systems. These processes and business rules must be engineered and documented as part of the project. The technology development and the content development will take place and deploy concurrently.
