Description: Kforce is looking for an Oracle DBA for our local Milwaukee client. This is permanent direct hire opportunity. The Oracle Database Administrator participates in team activities for all database management and administration functions for multiple Oracle databases supporting PeopleSoft and other applications. This includes but is not limited to the design, installation, monitoring, maintenance, and performance tuning of production and non- production databases while implementing and overseeing database policies and procedures to ensure the integrity and availability of databases and their accompanying application software. The incumbent must demonstrate the ability to plan and incorporate strategic factors while simultaneously performing key daily activates. He/she must architect the databases, manage multiple environments, and maintain secure, reliable, robust access to them.
Day-to-day activities will be to:
- Performance monitor, troubleshoot, and schedule/taking backups
- Develop and maintain solid, industry-standard database management practices for all databases
- Manage and/or perform routine maintenance of the databases
- Provide secure database environments for production purposes that meet company policies and SOX compliance
- Install, migrate, and configure multiple production and non-production environments needed to support full application development life cycle by defining logical views, data normalization, data conversion, and archiving requirements
- Develop and maintain standards for documentation, database security, and audit compliance
- Participate in the migration, patches and fixes of the Oracle based application and tools

Requirements: Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in the field of Business Administration, Computer Science, Accounting, Management Information Systems and 3-4 years of experience as an Oracle DBA
- 2+ years of experience in Oracle database administration in either a 9i or 10g environment
