Description:  The incumbent will be part of the Information Technology Services (ITS) organization responsible for Windows Server Solutions. This position is responsible for providing solution development and third level support for the E-mail systems. The key areas of responsibility are installing, configuring, and maintaining Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Outlook, Sendmail, and Trend Micro E-mail hygiene products. The role will be responsible to cross-train the monitoring team for day-to-day ongoing maintenance and configuration. Proven ability to develop and document a vendor search strategy, and follow that strategy through to results is essential. The role requires both broad and deep technology knowledge and the ability to take a solution through the solution development lifecycle including solution planning, solution design and specification, solution construction, test process definition and planning, solution debugging, solution configuration management, unit and system acceptance testing, knowledge transfer, and solution support and documentation.
Requirements:  The role requires a technically strong individual who is resourceful, confident under pressure, and has demonstrated skill in both Application Development and Business Development. The successful candidate will also have experience with the evaluation, design, and upgrading of several e-mail technologies, documenting configurations and step-by-step procedures. The person in this role will possess:

In addition to the requirements mentioned, candidates must have the following:
  • BA/BS in Computer Science or Management Information Systems or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience supporting E-mail
  • Exchange 2003 / 2007 deployment and infrastructure knowledge including troubleshooting, design, and implementation experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience maintaining / Supporting Active Directory
  • Solid experience with Windows Server
  • Solid experience with Linux
