Description:  This position is responsible for directing and supervising a functional team of SAP FI/CO analysts, both internal and external, who support all facets of the business functions operating within our client's SAP Finance and Human Resources environment. The team lead is responsible to identify applications solutions, provide technical and business leadership required to implement solutions, ensure high quality user satisfaction, and maximize the group's contribution to the business. Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative direction and management to subordinate staff spanning multiple disciplines and responsible for operational support, project development and user satisfaction
  • Oversee planning, system configuration, and implementation for supported business systems
  • Prepare preliminary design, functional specifications and recommend solutions for projects
  • Research, analyze, and recommend cost effective process improvements in operations
  • Participate, consult, and team with IS departments to coordinate activities and projects
  • Adhere and support IS Governance framework for project methodology, reporting, and associated processes
  • Serve as a functional business analyst and SAP configurator
  • Regular contact with various levels of corporate personnel, including but not limited to CFO, CAO, CIO, Directors, IS management and team members
  • IS/IT related vendors, consultants, contractors and professional associations
  • Provides administrative direction to and direct management of subordinate global staff across multiple disciplines
  • Provide support for career planning and personal growth of all applications team members
  • May be requested to play lead role in project or systems implementation

  • Strong skills in leadership, planning, and functional subject matter expertise necessary to support the team in delivering a world class enterprise application systems that meets both the business and technology needs
  • Strong ERP systems integration skills and functional application experience
  • Demonstrated communication skills and experience interacting with senior managers, both business and technical
  • Experience leading, mentoring, coaching, evaluating performance, and developing employees
  • Organized, creative, self-motivated, and adaptable in approaches to issues and solutions
  • Experience in resource forecasting, planning, hiring and resource allocation
  • Ability to balance the demands of users with efficient use of resources to meet aggressive deadlines
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to translate business processes and requirements into development initiatives
  • Must understand basic business relationship and confidentiality principles and adhere to those principles
  • Ability to function in an intense and changing global organization
  • Bachelors degree in a business, IS/IT discipline, or equivalent experience in application development and technical service management environment
  • Minimum of two years as a supervisor or team lead
  • Minimum of five years of SAP functional experience in various application areas
  • Implementation and configuration of SAP R/3; specifically, FICO, Precious Metals. Human Resources experience is strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to manage, track, and staff simultaneous initiatives
  • Experience with global, multi-site organizations is required
