Description: Kforce consulting is seeking multiple Storage Engineers / Administrators for long term contract positions in Cincinnati.
Responsibilities:
- Function in a Lead Engineering role to design, build, test, and implement storage and back-up solutions supporting UNIX, Windows, or Mainframe ZOS platform systems
- Will work in the Storage/Backup, focusing on the Mainframe and Open Systems Replicated (Tier I) Storage Build
Additional Responsibilities:
- Storage Sizing and Configuration
- Storage Device Hardware Preparation, Installation, and Power Up
- SAN Directors - Install and Configure
- Data Prep / Migration
- Build and implement deliverables as needed
- Technical Documentation
- System Architecture
- Technical / Functional Specifications
- Disaster Recovery Plans
- SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)
- Other technical documentation as needed

Requirements: Storage Engineer / Administrator Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or comparable experience
- At least seven years of experience with Storage Area Network and Enterprise Backup Systems administration
- Experience with enterprise storage arrays, EMC, and IBM
- Experience with enterprise tape backup sub-systems
- Experience with storage and backup management software
- Experience with disaster recovery methodologies and data replication technologies
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
Desired Skills:
- Experience working in a project environment with high pressure and a time sensitive project schedule
