Description: The Corporate Accounting Manager is responsible for the month-end close process and ensuring timely and accurate financial statements including variance analysis versus budget and prior year results. This individual will also work closely with site directors, cost center managers, and divisional leaders to ensure proper month-end cut-off of expenses, revenue recognition, identification, and explanation of budget variances and compliance with Corporate policy and procedure including SOX. Additional interface include the accounting operations teams and FP/A.
Essential Functions:
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close functions including balance sheet review and analysis
- Assist with the preparation of the monthly management reporting package, board of directors reporting package, and other ad hoc reporting needs
- Develop and publish monthly key business metrics
- Assist with the coordination and management of quarterly reviews, the annual audit, and tax filings by external audit/tax firms including the preparation of all required documentation and supporting analysis
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and SOX
- Support FP/A and operations management in budgeting and forecasting process
- Work closely with site operations and departmental management to ensure adherence to budgets and successful financial performance
- Establish and cultivate an extensive company-wide network of support to facilitate timely and accurate financial results
- Manage the General Ledger Team to include prioritization of work assignments with a focus on meeting and beating deadlines
- Exercise independent judgment in selecting innovative and practical methods to achieve problem resolution

Requirements: Accounting Management Qualifications:
- An Undergraduate Degree in Finance/Accounting
- A minimum of five years of public accounting and private experience
- A minimum of three years of supervisory/management experience
- CPA (strongly preferred)
- Strong communication and analytical skills
