Title:  Accounting Manager
Location:  Beverly, MA

Compensation:  $60,000.00 to $65,000.00 per Year

Description:  In support of a sales driven organization, the Accounting Manager is responsible to provide supervision and oversight of the accounting staff (including general accounting, billing, payroll, accounts receivable and accounts payable) and functions. The position is also responsible for the complete oversight of Client accounts receivable functions. All duties include demonstration of all aspects of the Customer First! culture through a demonstration of attitude! The responsibilities and duties of this position include but are not limited to:
  • Manages day-to day activities and schedules of accounting staff for productivity, quality of work and completion of tasks within established timelines
  • Formulates and administers approved accounting policies, practices, process and procedures
  • Recommends and/or implements enhancements to accounting systems
  • Responsible to provide accounts receivable support and guidance with divisional offices, including cash application, reconciliations and aging reports
  • Responsible for client D/B reporting, bad debt tracking/reconciliation and collection outsourcing
  • Responsible for oversight of the centralized billing functions and duties
  • Performs other assignments as requested by management
Requirements:  The skills, experience, and knowledge required to be considered for this position include:
  • 5-7 years of experience in an accounting supervisory role
  • Demonstrated success in a healthcare and/or service industry is preferred
  • Working knowledge of GAAP, internal accounting controls and procedures
  • Demonstrated success in managing the accounts receivable process, including billing and collections, automated billing systems and reconciliations
  • Demonstrated success in customer service skills interacting with both external and internal customers
  • Demonstrated advanced proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, graphs and database software
  • Advanced organizational skills and an attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively communicate in a confidential work environment with all levels of management
  • Working knowledge and understanding of PC based general ledger accounting systems
