Description:  Our client is seeking a Sr. Quality Assurance and Workflow Analysis Analyst. This person reports to the Manager of Software AS400 Development. This is in Louisville, KY. The Senior Quality Assurance Analyst will be responsible for end-to-end testing to ensure the reliability and availability of all IT software applications and databases. Tests include unit, system and user acceptance. This person will assist in functional requirements gathering and take the lead in creation of test plans, scripts and process. The ability to communicate to technical and non-technical staff to ensure a quality product has been delivered that will satisfy the user's request. Job Duties Include, But Not Limited To:
  • Assist with identifying potential compliance issues and internal control deficiencies
  • Participate in the SOX Audit as needed
  • Ability to define and implement Process Control, SDLC and industry standards
  • Develop standard business rules and process for company reporting platform
  • Develop and enforce testing standards and procedures for the QA team
  • Conduct analysis and quality-control tests to ensure that software meets or exceeds specified standards and end-user requirements to ensure a quality product for delivery to production
  • Participate in the translation of Functional Requirement Specifications and Detail Designs into Test Plans, Use Cases and Test Scripts
  • Define and participate in unit, functional, system and user acceptance testing
Requirements:  The skills, experience, and education required for this position include the following:
  • Ability to plan, test and report the results of both manual and automated functional testing, identifies and track defects and interacts with development staff to isolate and resolve; retests to confirm defects have been corrected
  • Ability to develop automated test scripts where appropriate
  • Working knowledge of SQL to verify the data on reports and ETL processing is accurate
  • Ability to assist in functional requirements gathering process
Desired Qualifications:
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in QA
  • A strong desire to deliver a high quality product that fulfills the user's requirements
  • Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical users
  • Previous experience with SDLC and QA/test process is required
  • Strong analytical ability
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A strong team player who can also work independently
  • Proficient in the use of database tools to ensure system accuracy
  • Ability to balance priorities on multiple projects
  • Time Management skills
  • Experience using SQL to query databases
  • Ability to be a lead person. Training a coworker at a lower level and overseeing QA requests coming to the team
