Description: Our client is seeking a Cisco Engineer (Contract to Hire). This person will be responsible for the installation, problem diagnosis, repair and maintenance of a full range of communications wiring and equipment encompassing analog and digital technologies. This person addresses issues of availability/reliability for voice, data, signal, and image processing connectivity; provides support services for all Unified Communications voice and LAN/WAN networks including wiring, connectors, CSU/DSUs, smart jacks, voice mail, modems, and other related IP and voice peripherals and instruments; and relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform functions of the job based on knowledge of procedures and practices within the communications industry required to explain and negotiate service arrangements with departmental clients. This person insures optimal design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise-wide unified communications services, including PBXs, ACDs (Automatic Call Distributors), Key Telephones, Centrex Services, WATS, Long Distance, data services, voice messaging, IVR (Interactive Voice Response), video, network connectivity, Wireless, and Imaging systems.
The responsibilities of this position include the following:
- Assists in the formulation of project scope, cost and impact
- Works closely with various Unified Communication vendors to ensure System needs and standards are met
- Ensures proper documentation is produced and retained on all relevant activities, configurations and architectures and insures utilization of the proper software tools
- Maintains a working knowledge of published communications standards as well as local, state and national electric and fire codes
- Provides telecommunications equipment and service training to users and others

| Requirements: Candidates must have Client experience (not Telecom Carrier). 5+ years of Cisco Call Manager and 3+ years of experience with Cisco Unity are required. IPCC experience is a big plus. The client is looking for more Enterprise than Express experience. This person must be U.S. Citizens or Greencards.
