Description: Our client is seeking an Accounts Payable Director.
The responsibilities of this position include the following:
- Develop the A/P Department's mission, vision, and short and long term goals
- Ensure that the initiatives, priorities, and functional decisions are aligned with the long-term direction and strategic priorities of the broader organization and promote commitment to the direction
- Integrate and balance the 'big-picture' with day-to-day activities; raise key issues, coordinate planning efforts with other functional areas, and maximize opportunities
- Identify opportunities to automate manually intensive tasks as well as identify other ways to improve productivity and the quality of information and data management
- Make timely decisions on issues, taking steps to minimize negative impact, by probing and looking past symptoms to determine root cause while applying logic
- Foster a customer-focused environment, consistently searching for significant ways to improve or remove barriers in processes and procedures
- Proactively identify and anticipate customer requirements and expectations and develop innovative ways to address them
- Develop, monitor, and evaluate metrics to drive performance, measure effectiveness, and generate analyses for senior management
- Effectively manage workforce including planning for growth and changes in organizational structure
- Hire, evaluate, lead, and develop supervisory staff through motivation, education, and training to ensure optimal efficiency
- Foster a sense of teamwork through active collaboration

Requirements: The skills, experience, and education required for this position include the following:
- 10+ years of A/P in a large multi-national public company with a proven record of responsibility and growth
- 5+ years of experience managing staff
- Exposure to Oracle Modules (A/P, G/L, Procurement, and iExpense)
