Description: This person develops, tests, and modifies software to improve efficiency of business; performs modification, testing, and debugging tasks on application software; and maintains necessary documentation. This person may perform research into new tools and development methods. This role operates under general supervision and reports to the software development manager or the software development project manager. This position requires at least 3 years of technical experience in product design, development, and support.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supports existing products with existing and new users
- Works closely with business analyst and customers to define functional specifications
- Works closely with the business analyst, information analyst, dba and other developers to implement the requirements of the business
- Designs and develops applications, databases, and common components
- Adheres to established development process, coding standards, and source code control procedures
- Understands business requirements and needs in the development cycle
- Adheres to standard technical architecture strategy and application blueprints/frameworks
- Other duties may be assigned
- Other duties as deemed necessary by management

Requirements: Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in Computer Science, MIS or Business with 3 years of field experience or 6 years of field experience
- Prefer 4+ years of experience in an office environment, preferably software development related
- Working knowledge in n-tier or web based systems development, in relational database design and implementation, and in software development methodology
- Responsibility will be to assist in the development of new application products in visual studio .net with a SQL server backend
- Three or more years of solid hands-on experience in Microsoft development environment (specifically visual basic) is required, as well as 2+ years of experience in VB.Net and/or ASP.Net
- Individual must have a solid understanding of the .Net environment including ado.net, asp.net, vb.net, xml, html, and JavaScript and/or VBScript
- Experience with Microsoft SQL server, including knowledge of database design/development and T-SQL coding, is required
- Full system life cycle development experience (analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation)
