Description: As Sr. Accountant, this person serves as the lead Accountant in performing the Division's general accounting functions.
Specific Duties:
- Supports the division Controller in financial analysis, accounting procedures and month-end close process
- Manages financial statement preparation
- Prepares end of month accounting and financial reports
- Prepares monthly account analysis
- Prepares monthly adjusting and recurring journal entries
- Prepares Incurred Cost Submission as well as assists with Audits
- Processes weekly timecards and bi-weekly payroll
- Provides leadership on assignments; trains and mentors junior staff members

Requirements: Requirements Include:
- A BS in Accounting or Finance
- 6+ years of specialized professional accounting experience in government contracting environment
- In-depth knowledge of Costpoint
- Experience in the implementation of Sarbanes-Oxley financial controls
- Understanding of rates, both direct and indirect
- Strong familiarity with FAR, CAS, DCAS, DCAA, GAAP
- Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing, to attend to details, prioritize many tasks, and to work under time constraints
- Skilled in using Microsoft Office applications, with emphasis on advanced Excel features
