Description: Our Metro Detroit client is seeking a .NET Developer for a direct-hire position. This person will design, develop, and implement applications based on the user requirements within the required timeframe.
Position Functions:
- Design, develop, and implement applications using VB.NET, ASP.NET, and SQL Server with a focus on end-user workflow and process
- Work with users and developers in an iterative development process

Requirements: The skills, experience, and knowledge required to be considered for this position include:
- Microsoft Visual Studio .NET (VB.NET and ASP.NET)
- Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
- Experience in database interface development with ADO.NET and SQL Server (2000 and 2005)
- Good working knowledge of database architecture
- Entity Relationship Design and Modeling
- Understanding of data normalization and correlation methods and theory
- Understanding and experience with Agile Programming Methodology
- Knowledge and experience with full SDLC development projects
- Demonstrated ability to work on fast-paced, interactive development projects
- Working knowledge of XML, XSL, XSLT, and XPath
- Strong Windows Forms development skills
- Ability to analyze end-user tasks and optimize design for maximum increase in efficiency
- Understanding of UML and Unified Methods
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and/or ISO quality standards
- Application testing based on the user requirements (to be conducted prior to user testing)
- Application support responsibilities as necessary which may include coding, bug fixing, SQL queries, report writing, etc.
- On-call responsibilities during periods of peak demand
