| Description: Our client is seeking a Senior Software Engineer. This role is a customer facing function involving all the phases of software life cycle management including requirements management, architecture, design, prototyping, development and project coordination.
|
Requirements: The person should be a quick learner, self starter with ability do requirements gathering as well as software development using open source platforms such as Eclipse.
Key qualifications include but not limited to:
- Knowledge of Rational Unified Process/UML, DoDAD and requirements gathering
- Experience with Java, J2EE and relational database
- Experience with Eclipse, JBoss, MySQL, Tomcat and other related open source tools
- Ability to work independently with little direction and guidance
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to develop and present oral presentations to senior management and customer representatives
- BS in Computer Science or related area is required; Master's or PhD degree is a plus
Desirable qualifications include:
- Background in validating requirement for changes to business processes; and information systems
- Knowledge of high performance computing or simulation
- US Citizen
