Description: Consultant Responsibilities:
- Provide primary technical support to the JDA / Manugistics application
- Maintain existing enterprise systems
- Ensure back-up and recoverability
- Monitor database and network performance
- Be responsible for providing technical support to the applications related to JDA functionality, data integrity, and support of the batch process
- Coordinate activities with and direct vendor support organizations (primarily IBM, ACS, and JDA) to resolve system operational issues
- Determine business aspects of problems and recognize opportunities for them
- Act as a consultant from an application perspective to assist in the review of the company's system and process development with heavy interaction with business users (needed)
- Be responsible for resolving system performance, usability, access, and other issues during business and after hours as they arise
- Develop scripts and programs using SQL, appropriate software tools, operating system commands, and Shell scripts to support efficient operation of JDA and related systems
- Develop and maintain appropriate technical documentation
- Provide written and verbal feedback on status of work efforts as well as status reporting of day-to-day operations, overall system / data issues, and system performance
